The Damon Dash Episode

Showbill by Theotis Jones

This is the one you’ve been waiting for. Damon Dash talks Aaliyah, life without Jay Z, how he’s completely done with the music game, why he was an asshole to anyone who got in his way and why the kind of “broke” he is might be the best thing in the world. We also get some very tense moments as Just Blaze finally airs out why he didn’t eff with Dame.  Ya’ll truly ain’t ready for this dynasty thing.

Please honor Aaliyah correctly by spelling her name right.

It is difficult listening to the humbled Damon Dash in contrast with the asshole he was. He did not walk away from music. How does he completely ignore his affiliation with Curren$y after Roc-A-Fella? Revisionist history is simply lies.

first off the artwork is ill. hope yall cut theotis jones a check when the time comes.

second, dame owned Just. reminds me of when dame and cam was on bill o’reilly. im surprised as old as Just is and well as he knows dame that he would put himself in that position lol.

third i met dallas yesterday at grandarmy plaza, dude seemed a lil surprised to be recognized haha (but i remember dallas from when he was doin them grimy NY vids with the white dude). combat was off to the side filming that complex shit. respect to the camp tho, keep doing big things niggas is listening

  8. Kweli April 11, 2013 at 10:24 am #

Yo, Dame is an asshole. I agree with Just, who wasn’t really trying to go there. Y’all believe what you want, but this dude is being shitted on today because he deserves it. To hell with forgiveness, that’s some ol Christian hype anyway.

  9. Realniggashit April 11, 2013 at 10:47 am #

Just Blaze you spent to much time on the past bro that’s a convo you could’ve had off the air. We could’ve got more of a step by step on Dame but you trying to repair your Ego over something that happen 10 years ago. And the fuck up thing is you made it worst I wanted to hear about Amil, Beans, Bleek , Dipset, State property and all the people that never came out man Fuck the jersey shit

,or The Therapy Episode Part II

What a disappointment this was. An A-list guest and fascinating person comes through, yet so much time is wasted on Just Blaze’s need to sort out a decade long grudge. Even when he wasn’t being clowned by Dame, Just seemed really pressed to get across some sort of “hey, look at me now, big brother” messaging. It was really awkward, and worst of all uninteresting.

I always feel that this show is at its worst when Combat loses the reins, and it becomes too barbershop-y. I wish he would have deaded that shit sooner, so that they could have moved on to more interesting topics.

lol. I loved the episode but I feel your complaints. The Therapy Episode part 2 is hilarious.

Combat could have played judge during the plaintiff and defendant banter. That got boring quick. Stamped it like it was and kept it moving. I didn’t even know about a Curren$y affiliation. Would’a liked to hear about that one.

    Dope mixes, Benhameen.

  20. HeyArnoldsGrandpa June 6, 2013 at 9:53 am #

Just Blaze is still a Faggot

  21. HeyArnoldsGrandpa June 6, 2013 at 10:13 am #

i thought this interview was about Dame Dash not male feelings

  22. big izzy November 4, 2013 at 10:37 am #

Just blaze is a bitch and he feels some type of way because he got his money up but dame still a real dude who’s broke and blaze is still a cornball but with bread. Fact

  23. Nunu B June 11, 2014 at 10:32 am #

This was a very decent interview, but I wish there was less of Just Blaze, and more of Dame Dash…. Way to much crying over clothes, and past hurt feelings. I really wanted to hear more about his feelings towards the music industry, what Cam said about Aaliyah breaking up the Roc, and his new ventures…
