The Bomani Jones (@Bomani_Jones) Episode

Play

We switched it up a bit to sports talk with rising star Bomani Jones of ESPN and SB Nation fame. How he went from teaching at college, being a music writer, the image of the Black athlete in America, his run on terrestrial and satellite radio, how New York Knicks fans are “funny” and how to detect crazy from women online. We also got a surprise visit from Kazeem Famuyide of Hip Hop Wired and Rhymes and Dimes.

Best show you guys have ever done. Simple. Bomani was a great interview.

Great show! I agree with PARIAH, getting both fighters would be a phenomenal show even though Zab is done. Make that happen, I’m a huge boxing fan so I would love to hear that one.

feeling this episode… I haven’t heard of Bomani Jones before this interview but after this episode I definitely know who dude is… Salute… Also Combat I remember I ranted in the comment section before about not being able to download directly from the site anymore and I think I finally figured out what the problem was… When I click on “Show” on the left I can see the “Download” and “Play In New Window” buttons but when I click on the link on the main page for the show I can’t see it…. Is there a way to fix this?

If you don’t see what I’m saying click on both these links

You have two options to listen to the show on this page, soundcloud player / the podtrac player.

The default audio player / download links shows up on the archive page because of the way we have podcast feed setup.

If you have any suggestions on how to improve your experience on the site / broken links / podcast not refreshing in iTunes, etc. post them in the comments so I can keep a record of them, thanks!

Damn!! You guys have been on a roll. Big Boi, Shyne, Freddie Gibbs Despot, and now Bomani Jones. This show was fantastic!! So much better when you guys allow the guest to complete their thoughts. That seems to be the case with the past three shows. Please keep this in mind when going forward.

This was a great show! I agree with the last comment it’s a great show when you let your guest speak and not cut them off! Like how combat shut down Pete and his wack ass jokes and commentary.
