Let Kanye IN!!!

kanye_shrug (1)

That star studded Haitian relief telethon thing is going down tonight. Hollywood fave George Clooney pulled major strings with MTV to make it happen with the quickness. Stars/celebs/personalities are to include a whose who on whose famous (Beyoncé, Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift, Bono, Jay-Z, Coldplay, former President Clinton, Ben Stiller, Brad Pitt, Chris Rock, Denzel Washington, Julia Roberts, Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Meryl Streep, Robert Pattinson, Tom Hanks and Will Smith). That’s an effin huge line-up. Word on the streets is that the Louis Vuitton Don Kanye West is not invited. Are they fucking crazy?!?

Rumor is top MTV execs, Clooney and other noted white are way beyond tired of dude’s shennaigans, what with him calling out President George Bush on that Katrina thing. Plus that whole Taylor Swift brouhaha. I’m hoping to good God that this whole thing is a silly rumor, as reported by US Magazine. Only because them Haitian people need all the help they can get, badly. And if there’s ever been an event ‘Ye was born to spazz out to, it would be this one. With all that’s at stake, plus all them stars in that house, the spazz value of Mr. West automatically multiplies exponentially. On spazz value alone, I’d market this event as THAT spectacle to tune in to. I’m so willing to pay good money to see that happen. I’m sure you are too.

The money they raise tonight will be big. I’m sure with West in the house, the take in would be phenomenal. It’s a benefit, right? MTV and George Clooney need to do the right thing and request, beg even, for dude to take the stage. Several times. That would be good for this whole Haitan relief movement.

I need this, you need this. The Haitian people need this. To not let Kanye in would be an automatic #FAIL. To ban him would mean that George Clooney and MTV don’t ever care about Black people.

Let’s get that petition going.

By the looks of the line up, they want this telethon to be “grown & sexy.”

I could understand not wanting him to offend Americans, when the target audience is American, but the fuck happened to communication? It’s not like he’s slow. Tell dude to relax with the interruptions, & critical opinions, & let him talk to the millions of people who buy his music, if no one else. Jay-Z is the only rapper on the list (unless you count Big Willie [||]), but that’s not saying much.

Shit, Amber Rose’s ass alone would have old whites making it rain over the landlines.

  • http://rockthedub.com khal

telling dude to “relax” doesn’t mean anything if its live TV. live TV is where this nigga pulls his dick out and pisses on whatever you had going on.

  • johngone

who cares if kanye wasnt invited? there were a bunch of other stars not invited.. im a fan of ‘ye but i can see why they didnt want to invite him

“The money they raise tonight will be big. I’m sure with West in the house, the take in would be phenomenal.”

CJ must have pumped “Jesus Walks” to much. :-)

I think it´s quite irrelevant if Kanye appears or not. Plus he worked really hard on that egocentric image.

“I need this, you need this. The Haitian people need this. To not let Kanye in would be an automatic #FAIL. To ban him would mean that George Clooney and MTV don’t ever care about Black people.”

You’re really reaching with that shit CJ. The guy’s an epic douchebag who enjoys stealing the spotlight, and making a spectacle of himself. Is that really what Hati needs?

West did it to himself. Hopefully, he’ll take a lesson away from this blackballing.

    CJ,

I gotta say the same. Kanye’s music is dope and he’s a dope ass producer, but I don’t blame Cloon and ‘em one bit.
West has become renowned for making a five-star jackass out of himself, and thus the stage he’s on. If I was setting this event up, I wouldn’t run the risk of this cat trying to hijack the spotlight for attention.

    Maybe he’ll learn…

“To ban him would mean that George Clooney and MTV don’t ever care about Black people.”

CJ, wow. First off, there’s no hatin here on my part, but u need to check your emotions at the keyboard before u type something like that b. Clooney’s organized this to help the people of Haiti, majority of whom are black. Now, whether he truly cares about black people deep inside his heart, who knows? But whether or not kanye’s invited to this has nothing to do with Clooney and MTV’s true compassion for black folks. U made it sound as if Kanye’s an entertainer whose major platform is the representation of black people’s struggle. U know damn well he’s not. He a certified top grade douchebag as he has proven in quite a few occasions. That whole “Bush doesn’t care about black people” he said during the post Katrina telethon? He had the right to say that, and he’s sure enough correct that Bush doesn’t give a eff about blacks, but CJ, you yourself must admit that shit was the wrong place and wrong time to say that. You frequently mention always chess moves, never checkers. In that telethon, Kanye didn’t play checkers, he ATTEMPTED to play checkers. And more recently, pullin’ that bitch move, robbing Taylor Swift, a teenaged girl’s shine on stage. Again, he probably was right and i agreed with his opinion that Beyonce’s shit was better than Swift’s, but again, wrong place and wrong time to say that shit. So, can u blame them if they don’t invite his ass? Just as the Katrina telethon was, this one’s supposed to raise money for the benefit of the people that are suffering from this catastrophe, not a platform for a personal rant by Kanye whether his opinions are right or wrong. If kanye is invited tonight, will he keep his shit together for the benefit of the Haitians or will he go rogue, off the script, and pull another stunt? Who knows? But CJ, u can’t hate on them if they don’t invite him and to say they don’t care about black people if Kanye’s not invited is a damn stretch.

^uhm, If you look at the category this was tagged under “humor”. I guess I wasn’t that funny.

  • sugar

you’re crazy if you think anyone is ever letting kanye on the same bill as taylor swift again.

anyway, they’re going for the least haitian show possible to appeal to the adult contemporary crowd.

by the way, what the fuck is ” other notable white” singular? that’s supposed to be cute?

I thought you were dead serious CJ.

    RIP Apache

  • Rob

Word, I thought u were serious bout this.

Either way there are positives and negatives to Kanye bein there. On one hand, like Grands mentioned, there are no rap acts after Jay so inviting Ye woulda brought more viewers. Hell, rap fans or not more people woulda tuned in to see if he pulls a stunt. And therein lies the problem. Its a fundraiser for some people who desperately need the funds, not an event for somebody to steal the headlines and take attention away from the matter at hand. You know, or at least gotta think, Ye woulda tried to steal the spotlight or do something stupid. Dude doesn’t deserve the benefit of the doubt anymore. But if it led to more viewers, which in turn led to more donations, does it matter?

  • Curtis75Black

I read this yesterday and saw the category as humor cause I knew CJ couldn’t be serious. I guess everyone took it that way LMAO !! I knew there was gonna be somecrazy responses but DAMN !! You’re on your job Combat. Keep it flowin’.

The information presented is top notch. I’ve been doing some research on the topic and this post answered several questions.

  • Comatoast

Looks like the Grammy’s didnt let him in either lol

  • Akuma

Kanye is gonna use his leverage to his advantage now. Taylor Swift finally taught him the best way to wield power is by making it look invisible.

Haitian telethon, Katrina telethon? They still gonna get their money regardless, but Kanye better be the HEADLINE artist or else it ain’t happening.

It’s sad because we have truly lost any hope for an amicable and slightly humble Kanye = its all business from now on, if it already wasn’t!
