Do you use Twitter? I’m in love with that platform. A whole lotta people that I do the majority of my communication with these days use Twitter as well. Black and white and etc. Did you read this Slate piece called ‘How Black People Use Twitter’? Really, I’m not kidding. Anyways, the piece starts out by featuring the above image of a brown Twitter bird rocking an oversized fitted. Wtf? I thought the tweet bird was blue. And the fitted is kind of insulting in that it’s a stereotypical image of what Black people rock. Microsoft: Racist Basterds

Anyone who knows me knows I can’t muthafucking damn stand Microsoft. Fuck a Bing. Fuck a Windows. Fuck a Xbox360. Fuck ‘em all… I hate ‘em. But honestly, as virulently anti-Microsoft as your boy is, the last thing I was expecting was to see the picture above. Turns out someone in Skip Gates’s long-lost cousin’s camp thought it would be cool to Photoshop a black man’s face out of an advert that would be placed in Polish publications. They left his hands though.
According to Wikipedia there are about 4500 Polish citizens of African ancestry in out of a total of 38 million in the entire country. The percentage of blacks in Poland is negligible, but still. In a world where race is no longer an issue, someone operating under the Microsoft banner decided that a no-name black man couldn’t sell IT Tools in Poland just by being in the ad. Endorsement contracts aside, a black celeb wouldn’t have gotten his face replaced. It was a business decision, but it was based on race. So do you think it’s racist?
