Video: ScHoolboy Q Interview with Vibe

Feels so good to be able to post other magazines’ shit with no repercussions.

Ever since I heard his album Setbacks last year, ScHoolboy Q became one of my new favorite artists. Here he interviews with Vibe as he discusses 50 Cent’s influence on his career.

Don't Sleep on this 50 Cent vs. WorldStarHipHop.Com Lawsuit

A few months ago, a good friend of mine who runs a very big website pulled me to the side and put me on to how Curtis Jackson p/k/a “50 Cent” filed a lawsuit against the urban hip hop website WorldStarHipHop.com. He even sent me a copy of the papers. When I thanked him for the lead and said I was gonna give him a shout out for said lead, his response: “Fuck no man, keep my name the FUCK away from anything in connection with Fifty, that nigga crazy and I don’t ever want it with him. Fuck around, he’ll be shutting my shit down too!” I never got around to dropping that post. Continue Reading →

All I Want For Christmas: Jay-Z vs. 50 Cent

What Jigga just sold like 4 mil? He got somethin to live for, don’t want no nigga puttin four through that Bentley Coup Door” – 50 Cent

It’s been 10 years since the first shots were fired. 50 Cent’s disrespectful first single “How To Rob” let cats know from the gate what kinda dude Curtis was going to be. 46 names were mentioned.  A lotta people within that 46 didn’t take too lighty to the unknown new rapper calling them out, even in jest. Still, the deed was done, Curtis Jackson wanted the beef, wanted the attention to separate him from the other countless unknown rappers that were tryna get a rep. Continue Reading →

Curtis Wants To Go Back Home

50cent_01

A couple of months ago, I dropped a post here about how 50 Cent had one of the best outros on his recent mixtape “War Angel”. In it, he talks about how ill the First Annual Family Day Festival in 40 Projects in Southside Queens is going to be on August 30th. He even warns niggas that they need to get their “outfit money up” on account of how there’s going to be “mad bitches” out there. I took heed and started saving up my cash for my outfit. Sounds like that shit is gonna be a blast.

Best Rap Album/ Mixtape Outro Ever?

I copped 50 Cent’s latest “Mixtape/LP” “War Angel”. It’s free. And it’s not bad, especially since 50 has taken to rapping again. Sure, it’s all about gun play, mayhem and death, but his raps sound like he didn’t take a coupla years off to produce straight sing-songy basura.

What really caught my attention though, was the outro, which, as hillarious as it is, has got to be one of the best outros ever. Peep.

Dunno about you, but I’m getting my outfit money ready for August 30th.

Even when he’s serious, he’s funny.

50 Cent Is Not A Rapper

I first heard about the rapper 50 Cent back in 1999, when my dude and former client Deric “D-Dot Angelettie, p/k/a The Madd Rapper produced and was featured on 50′s 1st single “How To Rob”. “How To Rob” was that perfect single for a rapper trying to get noticed in a market then flooded by Hip Hop superstars. On the debut single, 50 jokingly rapped about robbing several rap stars and entertainers from a hungry rapper’s perspective. Deric’s Madd Rapper ad-libs added to that desperate “I gotta get mine from these industry cats” vibe, egging 50 on from the background. The single also had legs on the radio, at least here in New York. Unfortunately some rappers named in “How To Rob” took offense, I guess they didn’t find it as funny as the fans did. Some even responded with shots at the new rapper. Regardless, it was clear that the new rapper called 50 Cent had a shot at making a name for himself. Continue Reading →

Pure Hilarity!!!

Like you, I’m kinda tired of the whole 50 Cent “Pimpin’ Curly” saga, so I’ve been skipping past the most recent ones, other than the xxx-tra special NSFW piece that featured on boobootv.com
last week.

However, the homie Lamonte Ball twittered me today, sending me the most recent episode “Pimpin’ Curly Gets High” featuring one of his artists on the come up, Cashus C.R.E.A.M. I listened to a coupla Cashus’ mixtapes a coupla months ago and dude is mad talented. HOWEVER, his cameo in this piece, which starts around the 7:40 mark is HILARIOUS! If he keeps up with shit like this, Cashus C.R.E.AM. most def got a future in entertainment.

I know this ep here is rather long, clocking in at 15:44, but trust, this one is straight shits and giggles, well worth your viewing time.

50 stay winning.

Best Week Ever?

I wasn’t going to post this only because my peeps beat me to the punch here and here. But then I just read here that because of a series of behind the scenes “negotiations”, the video featuring Curtis Jackson stalking D.J. Khaled’s moms an’ em has been pulled down, thus making my last post somewhat irrelevant. Between this and “Chrihanna Gate”, this is really shaping up to be one helluva effin week!

“Tia Told Me (Rick Ross Diss)”

Pure Hillarity

And with this, Curtis Jackson, a/k/a Fitty a/k/a Pimpin Curly stays winning.
